Rio Olympics 2016: Team GB hero Laura Trott is picked up by fiance Jason Kenny and their dogs after returning home from Olympic success

TEAM GB's golden couple are back home after making Olympic history.

Jason Kenny and Laura Trott dominated the velodrome as they returned from Rio with FIVE gold medals between them.

Trott became Great Britain's most successful female Olympian as she powered to victory in the omnium and team persuit.

Whilst Kenny took a trio of golds - in the keirin, sprint and team sprint.

The pair met at London 2012 and quickly hit it off, before going public with their relationship after being spotted kissing at a volleyball game.

Kenny proposed on Christmas Day 2014 and the humble pair landed back at Manchester Airport to a heroes welcome.

It was revealed today that Manchester will host a celebratory parade - as well as London - to allow the public to meet and thank their Rio competitors.

The Games are set to be record-breaking for Team GB who may yet smash the total of 29 golds won at the home Olympics four years ago.

SunSport revealed how the couple have had to make incredible sacrifices for their achievements with them fiercely committed to their training regimes.
