Maro Itoje blow for England as forward ace is ruled out of autumn internationals with broken hand sidelining him for six weeks
Boss Eddie Jones will miss Red Rose starlet for clashes with South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia
MARO ITOJE is OUT of England's autumn internationals.
Scans confirmed that the Saracens star suffered a broken hand during Saturday's European game against Scarlets and needs surgery to fix the problem - ruling him out for six weeks.
The European player of the year, who turns 22 on Friday, was being primed to feature as England's breakdown jackal for the games against South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and the Wallabies.
Invincible second-row sensation Itoje has won ALL seven of his games for his country.
The Londoner helped the Red Rose men to a Six Nations Grand Slam AND a record-breaking series win in Australia last season.
Ironically, Itoje was named as a brand ambassador for a major health insurance company on Wednesday - just three days before shattering a bone in his hand against Scarlets in the Champions Cup pool game.
It is a huge blow for England boss Eddie Jones who has also lost fellow back-row forwards James Haskell, Jack Clifford, Sam Jones and Mike Williams to long-term injuries.
