Wimbledon 2016 order of play for Monday 27 June: Novak Djokovic kicks off title defence against James Ward on Centre Court
Reigning men's champion will open proceedings at the Championships with Roger Federer also in action
REIGNING men's singles champion Novak Djokovic will kick off his bid for a fourth Wimbledon title against James Ward on Monday.
In keeping with tradition, last year's men's winner will be first up on Centre Court and the Serb will take on the world No177 on the opening day of the tournament.
Seven-time champion Roger Federer will also be in action on Centre Court on Monday when he takes on Guido Pella in the third match on.
Women's French Open champion Garbine Muguruza will also be on show on Centre Court when she takes on Camila Giorgi in the second match.
The World No2 will be hoping for a smooth passage through to the second round in double quick time so she can watch her beloved Spain take on Italy in the second round at Euro 2016.
Five-time champion Venus Williams will open proceedings on Court 1 against Croatian Donna Vekic with Britain's Laura Robson due third on against Angelique Kerber.
