Wimbledon 2016: Roger Federer equals all-time record for most Grand Slam wins with demolition of Steve Johnson
Swiss maestro romps to easy win over American for 306th career win to draw level with Martina Navratilova's mark
ROGER FEDERER equalled the record for the most singles wins at a Grand Slam as he calmly dispatched Steve Johnson.
Fed's 306th victory matched that set by legendary Martina Navratilova and also puts him into the last eight at SW19.

He will face Croat Marin Cilic there as the Swiss supremo also looks to make a bit of history by winning his eighth Wimbledon crown.
Fed, 34, is currently level with American 'Pistol' Pete Sampras who dominated the grass courts in the 1990s.
His compatriot Johnson simply could not keep up with Federer who glided into the quarter finals in just one hour and 37 minutes 6-2, 6-3, 7-5 on his beloved Centre Court.
He was broken only once - in the third set - as he moved effortlessly round the turf and sent out a warning that despite being the oldest man left in the draw he is still a major threat to Brit Andy Murray's hopes of a second crown.
