Wimbledon 2016: Serena Williams demolishes hapless Elena Vesnina in most one-sided semi-final in SW19 history
Russian hopeful suffers Cente Court agony as World No1 powers to All England final in just 48 minutes
SERENA WILLIAMS broke new ground as she left Elena Vesnina a broken woman in the most one-sided semi-final in history.
Powerhouse Williams smashed her way past the bewildered Russian in just 48 minutes - pipping the record by three minutes.
It was her own elder sister Venus who held the previous best when she whipped Dinara Safina in 51 minutes in 2009.
Williams, 34, still hopes to meet her sister in Saturday’s final.
Williams said: “It would be great. That way it guarantees to have a Williams on the trophy.
