Australian-born Brit is currently 12th in the rankings, but can move up if she reaches the final of the China Open
JOHANNA KONTA is one win away from cracking the world's top ten.
Konta's 6-4 6-0 win over Shuai Zhang in the quarter finals of the China Open will lift her to a new career-high of No12.
But if the British No1 can overcome Madison Keys in Saturday's semi final, she will become the first Brit in the top ten since Jo Durie in 1984.
Kyle Edmund will also reach new heights when the updated rankings are published on Monday - but he lost out to Andy Murray once more in their Battle of Britain.

Edmund, 21, pushed Murray all the way in the opening set, losing it in a tense tiebreak which ended 11-9 to the Scot.
The younger of the Brit duo went a break up in the second, only to run out of steam and lose the quarter final 7-6 6-2.
But his exploits in Beijing mean he will be in the world's top 50 for the first time.
