JOHANNA KONTA is one win away from cracking the world's top ten.

Konta's 6-4 6-0 win over Shuai Zhang in the quarter finals of the China Open will lift her to a new career-high of No12.

But if the British No1 can overcome Madison Keys in Saturday's semi final, she will become the first Brit in the top ten since Jo Durie in 1984.

Kyle Edmund will also reach new heights when the updated rankings are published on Monday - but he lost out to Andy Murray once more in their Battle of Britain.
