CM Punk's reign as champ lasted well over a year - 434 days in all.

In that time, he beat legends such as The Rock, Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan amongst others.

The match itself went down in WWE history.

It was even given five stars from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Last month, CM Punk sent fans into meltdown as he hinted at a shock return to WWE.

The 41-year-old stepped down in 2014 - but made a shock appearance in November after being hired to work on "WWE Backstage" by Fox.

The UFC flop was asked on Twitter whether he is tempted to climb back into the wrestling ring again soon.

In response to the fan, the veteran of the sport replied: "Currently divided.

"The country is on fire and it legit made me laugh out loud for a second so, entertained?

"Mission accomplished? I'm happy I don't take it so seriously anymore."
