WWE star Zack Ryder out for between ‘four to nine months’ with knee injury
The Long Island Iced Z set for lengthy spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery
WWE star Zack Ryder will be out of action for between four to nine months after seriously injuring his knee.
The 31-year-old announced the news on Twitter early on Monday morning.
Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryder and partner Mojo Rawley, known as the Hype Bros, won a match to become number one contenders for the SmackDown Live tag team titles last Tuesday.
But it was during the bout that the Long Island Iced Z damaged his knee.

He underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama last week and was told the recovery process would take at least four months – with a possible absence of nine.
It remains to be seen who SmackDown general manager Daniel Bryan will hand the No1 contender spot too now.
The Wyatt Family won the belts a fortnight ago from Rhyno and Heath Slater – who they have also since defeated in a rematch.
American Alpha, The Ascension, Vaudevillains, The Usos and Breezango will all now be battling it out for a shot at the gold.
