How far can you get with £10 in Fabulous Bingo’s city-themed rooms?
HELLO, ciao, hola and bonjour! This week’s Brew, Biccy, Bingo is a whistle stop tour of Europe as I took on the city-themed bingo rooms of Fabulous Bingo.
With my usual budget of £10, I wanted to see how a session in the city-inspired bingo rooms would go.
*
Did I set off into the sunset? Did I win hola full house prizes? Did my winnings pot put the “grand” in grand tour?
Let’s see how I got on.
The Brew
This week I was back on the Yorkshire Tea blend. My pink mug that says: “She believed she could, so she did!” was on hand to empower me.
The Biccy
I struggled to pick my sweet treat. In the end, I went with traditional Scottish shortbread.
It’s not chocolatey, but, I haven’t had it in a while and it never disappoints.

The Bingo
Empowered by my mug and with a sugar rush from my biscuit, I embraced my inner Braveheart and sent off for battle… I mean bingo…
- London Room
- Spent £2, won nothing
First, I marched into the London Room. William Wallace would be proud!
The London Room is a 90-ball room with sessions that include “1p Loose Change!” and “£100 Bingo Link!”.
Despite a couple games of penny bingo and a game in the link game, I didn’t win.
HOWEVER, the chat in Gossip Corner was buzzing. I’m always so happy to see the community being instantly friendly and chatting.
THE DUO BINGO FEATURE INCREASES YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING A PRIZE
A stream of roomies saying “gm” (good morning) and “gl” (good luck) is always a nice start to a bingo session!
There was also the exciting news that a roomie had an exciting family member’s birthday – the big 105!
Granted, as this family member was of the four legged variety, this senior pooch was really only 15.
The big question was, did they get a birthday card from the Queen?
A roomie raised the good point that technically the 100th birthday card should come from the queen of the dog world… does that mean the Queen’s corgis send the card?
- Rome Room
- Spent £3, won £2.87
You can’t tour Europe and not see Italy! The pizza, pasta, ice cream and bingo, Rome has it all.
This room runs faster games, 80-ball bingo. It has prizes for 1 Column, 2 Columns, 3 Columns as well as the Full House (as the Romans do love a good column).
SPIN THE DAILY FREE WHEEL FOR A CHANCE TO WIN UP TO £100!
This means you get a prize if you are the first / joint first to achieve completed vertical lines on your bingo tickets.
The Pix “N” Mix session usually runs either 1TG, 2TG or both. That means there’s an extra opportunity to win a prize if you have only one or two numbers to mark off on any of your bingo cards when the full house is called.
I won £2.64 for a 1 Column win and 23p for a 2TG.
- Barcelona Room
- Spent £1, won nothing
Not a city that added to my winnings pot, but I could see why Ed Sheeran chose this city for his song title.
Things move even faster in the Barcelona Room, with 75-ball games. I played in 5 a-side and 5 Simple Steps, which use 5x5 grid bingo tickets.
Each ticket was 10p. Had the full house been called in 43 calls or less, the jackpot of over £26,000 would have been triggered.
The roomie chat can change so quickly, you cover anything and everything!
This includes: do you get cold feet? Have you tried slipper socks? As well as shared recipes and uses for an airfryer.
CAN YOU GUESS WHICH FABULOUS BINGO ROOM IS BEING DESCRIBED?
I wondered how to keep on top of bingo playing and chatting at the same time!
I’m clearly not a pro, as one player was chatting away merrily while they had not one, not two, not three, but FOUR bingo rooms open at the same time.
The chat hosts have my respect. Not only are they engaging with every single player, they’re answering bingo / site questions AND running in-chat competitions like Picture Perfect.
Every group of friends (like the Fabulous Bingo community) needs a selfie! The host types “3”, “2”, “1”, “Smile” and the 11th comment of “Cheese” won a £1 bingo bonus.
Now that’s how to strike a pose.
- Paris Room
- Spent £4, won £4.50
I met Mr Tickles in Paris… No, that isn’t the name of my debut novel.
Instead, it’s a mini game organised and hosted by our brilliant chat hosts.
Suddenly, in the midst of bingo, a pop up appeared. A blue, spotted, three-eyed alien blinked at me from his one big and two small eyes.
The Tickleiser. He’s tickled by two feathers until the point of hysteria.
He finally catches his breath, screams “Stop” and calls out a player’s chatname.
At which point, that player must let the host know they’re present. If they do, they win a £1 bingo bonus.
HOW TO PLAY FRUITY BURST - ONE OF OUR TOP SLOTS
Failure to reply in three calls and the Tickleiser starts again! To be eligible for the bonus, you must have wagered at least £2 in the past seven days.
I wasn’t sure if I had imagined this ticklish monster or not. However, the roomies assured me he’s real and harmless.
Oh, and it’s Mr Tickles, to his friends.
While having this encounter, I played in the 2p Bingo! And 1p Bingo! Sessions.
My wins included a 2L and full house in one game, as well as a 1L and 2L in another.
Nearly got the full sweep, but someone beat me to the full house.
Are you gonna bingo?
I played for 1 hour and 15 minutes. It was a slightly longer session this time as I was chatting more and playing the in-chat games.
However, the session easily could have been shortened or extended, depending on the ball count of the games played.
I did make £7.37 in winnings. So, a treat to myself is an IOU promise to buy something in the future!
Whenever I go to a new city, I buy a little souvenir of that place. I’m exploring Rome soon so my winnings will pay for:
- A mini statue of the Colosseum – I’ll barter to get the price below £7.37!
