The Sun readers enjoy an 80s throwback weekend on Hayling Island
ON Friday 20th October, The Sun in partnership with Warner Leisure Hotels welcomed guests to the 80s Sun Bingo Festival.
Tickets for The Sun’s 80s weekend were hotter than the new AC/DC CD.

With the event fully sold out, all that was left to do was put on a seriously fly schedule of 80s fun.
While Cher wished she could turn back time, The Sun made it happen for guests at Lakeside Hotel, Hayling Island.
Between Friday 20th October and Monday 23rd October, attendees were treated to a totally tubular time.
It was a weekend-long gnarly, throwback party.
During the day, a range of complementary and supplemented activities were put on.
This included archery, rifle shooting, dance classes, tasting experiences and 80s aerobic exercise classes (neon leotards encouraged).
NOT ALL WEEKENDS GO AS WELL AS OUR 80S WEEKEND DID!
Guests couldn’t believe the huge range of activities on offer.
Deborah Bush, from Farnborough, commented: “You don’t realise how much is here and how big this site is… There’s all sorts going on”.
Her sentiment was echoed by Lorna from London: “The entertainment has been brilliant”.
On Saturday and Sunday afternoon, many of the guests joined Sun Bingo’s Chris Ashton and celebrity guest host, Sandi Bogle, for a spectacular bingo event.
Known for shows such as Gogglebox, Celebs at the Farm and Celebrity Big Brother, Sandi turned her hand to bingo calling.
The prize bingo sessions hosted a range of games, including 90-ball, music bingo and Last Man Standing.
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BINGO BONUSES
All winners were given access to the Sun Bingo prize site where they got to choose their prize from a huge range.
Included were air fryers, microwaves, hampers, straighteners, coffee machines, Fire Sticks, headphones and much more.
All winners walked away with a prize that made them smile.
As well as a full schedule of activities, guests had the opportunity to explore the gardens, get beautified in the onsite salon or relax at the leisure club (making use of the indoor pool, sauna, steam room and spa).
They could also sit and soak up the 80s magic in the piano bar and coffee shop.
For some, a great way to spend the rainy weekend was to enjoy the fabulous movies put on in the onsite cinema.
CHECK OUT PLAY-ALONG EMMERDALE BINGO
This included Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Bridget Jones’s Baby and Rocket Man.
In the evenings, our 80s fans were treated to entertainment in the form of live music, shows, quizzes and dancing.
The entertainment was all about the best of the 80s.
Bands like The Electric 80s performed the greatest hits of the decade, played just the way that they sounded when audiences heard the songs for the first time!
It was a blast from the past, full concert experience.
Attendee Ellie, 65, from Norfolk said “it’s been brilliant… we loved The Electric 80s. You couldn’t get on the dancefloor, it was packed! We’ve had the best fun ever”.
ARE THESE SUNNY CHARACTERS VILLAINS OR HEROES?
On Saturday night, Virgin Radio DJ, Steve Denyer, got the party started and kept it going into the night with an iconic 80s disco evening, taking guests back to the decade with the freshest tunes.
There was also music from the fantastic Wham!Duran.
A totally unique and brilliant show that brings together the best hits from two iconic bands of the 80s: Wham! and Duran Duran.
Whether guests where Everything She Wants or Wild Boys, this show had something for everyone.
That was certainly the case for Jacqueline Clements. The 61-year-old 80s fan from Essex was attending with a group of friends and their spouses.
The group had made plans to attend the Saturday night events in fancy dress, including tutus, wigs and there was even talk of a Rubik’s cube suit.
10 GAMES YOU CAN PLAY ON SUN BINGO ON A MONDAY MORNING
Jacqueline was “looking forward to spending a lovely weekend with my friends”.
There was one 80s music mega giant missing.
His tribute act made their grand entrance on Sunday night.
Through the purple rain came The Prince Xperience. A stunning tribute to the late legend.
From costumes to the voice and persona, Nothing Compares 2 this performance.
