What do you think of these crimbo bingo (snow)ball calls?
Christmas ball calls
Here are Sun Bingo’s fantastically festive Christmas-themed ball calls:
- Number 4 – Ghostly visitors
A classic question on a Christmas quiz will be “how many ghosts visit Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol?”
TODAY IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO WIN CHRISTMAS DAY ESSENTIALS IN SPEICAL CRIMBO BINGO GAMES
It’s somewhat of a trick question, as many think it’s three: the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.
However, there’s a sneaky fourth ghost who actually visits first: the ghost of Jacob Marley.
He was Scrooge’s business partner and comes to warn him that he will be visited by three other ghosts that night.
- Number 9 – Reindeer time
This ball call checks two points off the list of what makes a classic ball call, it’s a cultural reference AND it rhymes.
PLAY THE 12 GAMES OF CHRISTMAS
Another good quiz answer is that there are nine reindeer who pull Santa’s sleigh: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph.
- Number 12 – The days of Christmas
This is a reference to the large and slightly strange list of gifts that the singer’s true love gives to them over the 12 days of Christmas; who doesn’t want 10 lords a leaping under the Christmas tree?
Over the 12 days featured in the song, a staggering 364 gifts are given to the singer by their love.
- Number 18 – Snowman in progress
This is the first bauble call on our list that’s about the shape of the numbers.

Just like two little ducks and legs 11 take their calls from the numbers themselves, this call is all about how the numbers could be seen as images.
The “8” is the two-tiered snowman (maybe waiting for a third tier) and the “1” is one of the branch arms waiting to be added.
- Number 22 – All the turtle doves
Like the call above, this is another call that’s about the shape of the numbers.
This Christmas take on two little ducks brings in the “two turtle doves” lyric from the 12 Days of Christmas.

- Number 33 – Christmas tree
We couldn’t put together a Christmas bingo ball call list without rhyming “three” and “Christmas tree” at some point!
- Number 41 – Yuletide fun
It’s another rhyming call for ball 41.
However, it is also a reminder of exactly what this time of year should be about, having fun with friends and family!
- Number 48 – Paper crowns on
Ah, another staple of bingo ball call tradition, calls with actions!
WE HAVE £300 GAMES TO PLAY EVERY FRIDAY THIS DECEMBER
Sun Bingo thinks that as this ball call is announced, all players should reach for their imaginary Christmas cracker paper crowns and put them on their heads.
We picked 48 as the “4” looks a little like a paper crown on the head and the “8” is the person’s eyes.
- Number 51 – Turkey’s done!
Do you have your Christmas meal for lunch or dinner?
Either way, your stomach will be rumbling when the smells of the cooking turkey start to waft through your home.
PENNY PRESS IS AWARDING AT LEAST £31,000 IN CASH PRIZES THIS CHRISTMAS
Of course, this is followed by someone 'innocently' asking “do you prefer breasts or legs?”
- Number 63 – Eat, drink and be merry
As we said above, Christmas is about having fun with friends and family.
That often happens while, or because of, eating, drinking and making merry.
Another rhyming ball call for this festive list.
WANT A BINGO DEAL FOR EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK? SUN BINGO HAVE THAT SORTED
- Number 73 – Coming down the chimney
Many questions have been asked about how Father Christmas travels the world, visiting all children on the nice list in a single night.
All we know is that this legendary figure, described as having “a broad face and a round little belly” in Clement Clarke Moore’s A Visit from St. Nicholas, shimmies down each and every chimney with grace and ease.
