, he admitted the lad was more influenced by Spurs-supporting friends at school.

He claimed he would pay for the treatment with a £3,000 bonus from work.

After receiving no responses from hypnotists, the father gave Bark permission to launch a public appeal.

He wrote: "I've got a bit of a weird problem... after Harry Kane won the Golden Boot at the World Cup, my son started talking about supporting Spurs."

He continued: "I saw a video about a year ago of a hypnotist, not sure who it was, making an Arsenal and Spurs fans at the pub think that they support the opposite team, and I want to do that to my son.

"I recently got a bit of a bonus from work and for the hypnotist who manages to do this I've got around £3,000 waiting for them.

"I haven't told my wife, figured it'll be easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

"I know this is a bit of a mad thing to ask, but I just really want to be able to enjoy every weekend with my son watching football, and even though I will if he turns out to be a Spurs fan, it would be better if we could go to games and share memories together."

The dad would have been further trying to convince his boy that he should switch to red side of London after Arsenal leapfrogged Tottenham into third spot with a 2-0 win over Newcastle on Monday.
