Promising to be super stretchy, sweat-wicking and bum-sculpting, their brand new design (launched 9th February 2021) got a Sun Selects test run to see if they're worth the cash.

Are Sweaty Betty's Power High-Waisted Gym Leggings worth it?

Our first note is that the Sweaty Betty Power High-Waisted Gym leggings look a lot smaller off than they are on. We ordered a size medium as we're size 10 to 12 and expected them to be way too small when we first unwrapped them, but when you actually put them on, it's a different story.

After pulling them on - all the way up to just under our ribs - we were amazed at the sculpting effect of how closely they fit. They're so skin-tight that it almost feels like you're not wearing anything at all, and they're so soft.

Cinching our waist and defining our butt, we were so happy with the way they mould to suit your figure, featuring pockets so seamless that you hardly even notice them.

As yoga-lovers, we decided to try wearing them to do a quick flow practice focusing on flexibility to really test their stretch. And from downward-facing dog, to prayer-squat pose, we felt free to move comfortably without any discomfort at all. They actually made us feel more flexible, if that's even possible?

Another feature that we have to mention is the wonderful side pockets on either side as they're so tight that you can put your phone or keys inside without them annoying you or poking out.

In our eyes, they're an upgrade from Sweaty Betty's as the mega-high waist makes you feel supported whilst carving a more-than flattering fit.

If you can't tell, we're obsessed and will be wearing them for every workout for the foreseeable.
