GOOGLE and Facebook are offering users a treat this Halloween in the form of animated Easter Eggs.
The animations may only appear for some users but if you have a compatible device then all you need is the following steps.
Google recently : "Spooktacular tip: Search “Halloween” in to find your old Halloween pics.
"Psst … before you get into the spirit, make sure to update to the latest version of the app for a treat."
Anyone with the Google Photos app who follows those steps should see their personal photo search results matching the "Halloween" keyphrase.
However, they'll also be greeted by a pumpkin animation that rolls itself to the bottom of their screen.
The goofy pumpkin then hops and winks before lighting up and rolling off to the right.
If you can't see this on your own device or don't have Google Photos then don't worry as the Google Search homepage has a more fun and interactive animation for people to use.
The search engine animation encourages you to click on the doors of a rather cute 'haunted house' and reveals facts about animals.
As for Facebook, some users have reported spotting a fun animation if they hover over the Facebook logo in the app.
It involves the word "boo" in Facebook becoming enhanced and then it produces two eyes, which roll off before Halloween characters come and devour the Facebook logo completely.
