The texts were sent on or around Valentines Day in February but for some reason didn't come through.

Instead, they began arriving en masse on Thursday, much to the confusion of their recipients.

These people seemingly never received the texts in the first place, while the senders had no idea the messages hadn't arrived.

"My friend's Mom just got a 'Happy Valentines Day' text from her recently deceased husband," claimed one Twitter user.

Another wrote: "I just got a text from my best friend's phone. Only issue is she's been dead since February."

Others told of awkward moments as Valentines Day texts sent by ex-lovers suddenly came through.

"[My ex and I] haven’t spoken in months," wrote one Twitter user. "The text I received said that he couldn’t wait to see me tonight.

"I jumped to conclusions and thought he was texting someone else and send it to me as an 'accident' trying to make me jealous. Which didn’t work.

"I sent a long text back saying it was immature and then saw it was happening to everyone and felt bad."
