Your Instagram Stories are now appearing on Facebook in latest app merger

INSTAGRAM Stories have started to appear on Facebook.

Some users have reported seeing this happen even though they didn't specifically click to upload them on their Facebook Story.

This is reportedly due to a test that some accounts are experiencing.

Facebook users will only be able to see the Instagram Stories of people they are following on Instagram.

So if you're Facebook friends but not following each other back on Instagram, you still won't see each others Story.

An exception to this would be if someone purposefully clicked to upload their Instagram Story to their Facebook Story.

Facebook and Instagram Stories will all appear in the usual Facebook Story section but will be differentiated by colour.

Facebook Stories will still be circled in blue and Instagram Stories in pink / orange.

A screenshot of the feature posted on Twitter revealed Facebook explained: "Your Instagram followers who chose to link their accounts to Facebook and turn on this viewing setting" are the only people who can view your Story.

The test is said to be limited so you may not experience it yourself.

This new move seems to be part of Facebook's bigger plan to merge Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

It recently started merging Facebook Messenger and Instagram chat.
