Retailers like GAME, Walmart, and Amazon have seen waves of Xbox Series X|S restocks over the past few weeks.

As you'd expect, they sell out pretty fast, so sign up for retailer alerts and follow stock tracking accounts on Twitter to be notified as early as possible.

You can also bookmark this page so you have a list of links to retailers at hand for your frenzied shopping convenience.

The Xbox Series S isn't plagued by the same level of scarcity as the Xbox Series X and is a solid option for younger gamers.

Where to buy the Xbox Series X in the UK

It's the list of usual suspects when it comes to regular Xbox Series X restocks.

The likes of GAME and Argos tend to give a little bit of a heads up before the inventory drops, whereas Amazon favours the element of surprise.

We'll almost certainly see another influx as we head into Black Friday and Christmas.

Retailers know that shoppers are keener than ever to part with their cash to tick off items on their Christmas lists, and Microsoft's newest consoles will be making the cut.

Where to buy Xbox Series X in the US

US gamers have seen a bit more variety with Xbox Series X restocks in recent weeks.

A couple of retailers are opting for in-store restocks, like Best Buy.

Walmart also has Xbox Series X bundles and standalone consoles in stock, but it's hiked up the price significantly.

Walmart+ is giving early access to its Black Friday deals, while GameStop's PowerUp Rewards Pro specifically gives you first dibs on new consoles.

Best Buy's Totaltech gives 'exclusive access' to 'hard-to-find tech products'. But beware of using it to get a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S and trying to cancel and refund the pricey membership.

Where to buy the Xbox Series S in the UK

Luckily, there aren't nearly as many stock issues with the Xbox Series S.

If you're happy with its lesser specs and capabilities, it may be the way to go if you after a guaranteed console in the next few months.

The Series S doesn't have the Blu-Ray drive of the Series X - instead, it's a digital-only console.

Nor does it have the same 4K level of gameplay, or same level of internal storage.

But outside of that, it's still a fantastic console that we gave a rave review - and it's seriously good value for money.

Where to buy Xbox Series S in the US

Stock for the smaller sibling in the Xbox line is a little more patchy in the US.

But there's still currently a decent selection of retailers where you can pick up the Xbox Series S – it's not nearly as scarce as the Series X.

That said, we expect a spike in interest in the pre-festive months, and ahead of Black Friday too.

So if you're interested in picking up one of these consoles, we urge you to not be complacent.

How much is the Xbox Series X?

In the UK, the Xbox Series X has an RRP of £449 (which, incidentally, is exactly the same as the PlayStation 5).

Over in the US, the recommended price is $499, but we're seeing instances of retailers selling the Xbox Series X for much more - Walmart, for example, has bumped up the price.

How much is the Xbox Series S?

It might not have the disc drive, the 4K capabilities, or the internal storage of its bigger brother, but all the same we reckon the Xbox Series S is excellent value for money with an RRP of £249 / $299.

Which is better, the Xbox Series X or PS5?

This is a tough question to answer, since there are so many factors to consider.

Putting aesthetics to one side – the Xbox's boxy build versus the PS5's organic design – both consoles boasts next-gen processors and graphics cards.
