MICROSOFT has finally revealed the launch date for Halo Infinite, and unveiled a stunning new console and controller that's a must for fans.
After a dud of an Xbox Gamescom 2021 show, all eyes were on Gamescom Opening Night Live, and we weren't disappointed. The hype train was slightly derailed by the Microsoft Store listing the date early, but Halo Infinite is officially launching on December 8, 2021.
As it stands, campaign co-op and Forge don't meet the bar, with Staten adding, "we're going to keep campaign co-op and Forge in the oven for a little bit longer, and then when they're ready we're going to release them as part of our seasonal roadmap next year."
Halo Infinite Limited Edition Xbox Elite Wireless Controller
The standalone will set you back £179.99 / $199.99 which is just a little more pricey than the basic variant which comes in £159.99 / $179.99.
As well as all of the bells and whistles you'd expect with the Elite Series 2 controller, like interchangeable thumbstick and paddle shapes, the battle-worn detailing is the icing on the cake.
It's available to pre-order now and ships on November 15, 2021.
Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition bundle
If you'd rather push the boat out and splurge on a new Xbox Series X, then the might be for you.
Even if you're not a Halo fan, it looks gorgeous. The custom design is "imprinted with stars as seen from the surface of Zeta Halo – extending onto the fan behind a blue vent inspired by Cortana." The controller is similarly themed.
Another neat addition is the power on and power off sounds, which are Halo sound effects. You can read more on both the console and the Halo controller over on the .
The bundle is priced at £479.99 / $549.99 and is up for pre-order now. It launches on November 15, 2021.
