Inside Jeff Bezos’ 417ft superyacht worth $500million that will be biggest in the world as it’s dubbed ‘phallus symbol’
JEFF Bezos' 417ft superyacht is set to be the biggest of its kind in the world.
The vessel known as Y721 is worth $500million and is currently under construction in a shipping yard in the Netherlands.
But that hasn't stopped protesters dubbing it a "phallus symbol."
That came after protesters in the Netherlands said they plan to pelt the yacht with rotten eggs, according to local news outlet .
Their anger was sparked by the suggestion a 140-year-old bridge in Rotterdam would be dismantled to make way for it.
Pablo Strörmann, 40, said: "Rotterdam was built from the rubble by Rotterdammers and we don’t just take it apart for the phallus symbol of a megalomaniac billionaire.
Strörmann acknowledged the protest is "not too serious" but added that they would not go "without a fight."
Amazon founder Bezos has already faced jibes that his Blue Origin rocket resembled a penis.

One person said: “So everybody is making the comparison of Bezos’ Blue Origin Rocket to a penis.
“Does that mean we will see Bezos’ penis at lift-off?”
Another joked: “Can somebody please just admit that Jeff Bezos rocket needlessly looks like a penis #BlueOrigin (sic).”
Billionaire Bezos was forced to deny ownership of a second $400 million superyacht in 2019.
An Amazon spokesperson told the Flying Fox was not owned by the businessman.
A spokeswoman for Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb in Rotterdam said last week that while a shipbuilder has requested temporarily taking apart the bridge this summer, no permit has yet been sought or granted.
The municipality declined to comment on who owns the yacht in question or identify the shipbuilder.
An email sent to Amazon by the Associated Press seeking comment went unanswered.
A report by Bloomberg in May 2021 said the yacht was being built for Bezos by Oceanco at a cost of “upwards of $500 million.”
