As some users grow concerned that their secretive snooping will no longer remain hidden, TikTokers have the option to remove the feature, and here's how.
What is the profile view history option on TikTok?
TikTok's infamous feature allows users to see who viewed their profile in the past 30 days, and vice versa.
TikTok once offered a profile view feature years back but eventually removed it.
However, in January 2022, reported that the social media platform was bringing the feature back.
Since its roll-out, secret profile gazing has been made extremely hard to do.
According to the social media platform: "Only accounts that have also turned on this feature and have viewed your profile in the past 30 days will appear in your profile view history.
"If you visit another account's profile page and they've also turned on this setting, they'll be able to see that you visited their profile."
Only you can see who viewed your profile and can turn it off at any time.
How can I turn TikTok profile views on or off?
There are five steps to follow if you want to turn on TikTok profile views through your settings:

- First, click on the profile tab in the bottom right corner.
- Then, select the three dashes in the top right-hand corner.
- Third, click on the settings and privacy option followed by the privacy option once more.
- From there, click turn on the profile view history tab.
- Tap on the turn-on or off option, and you're done.
If, however, you want to change the feature from your Profile views page, then follow these steps:
- Tap inbox at the bottom of your TikTok app.
- Tap the notification that someone has viewed your profile.
- Tap the settings icon in the top right of your profile views page
- Tap on the turn-on or off option, and you're done.
