At the event, the tech giant plans to announce several new games, gameplay first-looks, and updates coming to its Quest 2 virtual reality (VR) headset.

One game that is expected to get coverage is the PlayStation 2 favorite: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

Meta-CEO Mark Zuckerberg initially announced in October that GTA San Andreas would be joining Quest 2 (previously Oculus Quest).

"This new version of, what I think is one of the greatest games ever made, will offer players an entirely new way to experience this iconic open-world in virtual reality," Zuckerberg's avatar explained.

The publication added that "while a gameplay trailer feels like a near-certainty we aren’t expecting a release date at this time."

"We might be proven wrong, but given the scope of GTA San Andreas, we anticipate the VR port will need quite a bit of time to get right."
