Doja Cat ‘split challenge’ goes VIRAL on TikTok but there are fears it might be dangerous

TIKTOKERS have been warned over the latest ‘dangerous’ trend in which users try to emulate pop star Doja Cat’s iconic choreography.

The viral challenge sees TikTokers attempting to do a full split while in sync with the beat of Doja Cat‘s song Like That featuring Gucci Mane.

Doja Cat herself performed the move in the final frame of the song’s music video.

The has almost 10million views on TikTok.

But the Doja Cat split challenge is not for everyone.

The challenge is popular enough that compilations of TikTok attempts have been uploaded to – one commenter said they dislocated her knee attempting the split challenge.

Attempting to do a split with no training or preparation is not advisable – regardless of how easy TikTok can make it look.

The platform’s algorithm has a track record of promoting videos and challenges that could easily result in injury.

The infamous milk crate challenge caused many violent falls and injuries during its viral moment in 2021.
