Amazon reveals brand new Fire tablet to rival iPad – and its their ‘biggest and most powerful yet’
AMAZON has fired out yet another tablet as it tries to burn a hole in Apple’s iPad success.
The online retailer claims the all-new Fire Max 11 is its “biggest and most powerful tablet yet”.
As the name suggests, the Fire tablet display size has been upped to 11-inches wide.
The chipset and RAM have been upgraded on the inside so you can smoothly do multiple tasks at once or more demanding things like gaming.
It should feel almost 50 percent quicker than Amazon’s next fastest tablet.
Alongside this, the firm has unveiled a magnetic keyboard and stylus accessory for those who fancy doing more productive tasks every once in a while.
Battery has also received a boost with up to 14 hours of life, according to the tech giant.
Amazon couldn’t help make a dig at Apple, boldly claiming the Fire Max 11 is three times as durable as the iPad 10.9-inch device.
In terms of security, it’s the first time the company has packed a fingerprint sensor in as well.
And no Amazon tablet would be complete without Alexa.
The gadget will be available in two storage options: 64GB and 128GB.
Prices start from £249.99, which is quite a bit more than previous Fire tablets but still less than a lot of mid and high-end rivals.
The Keyboard Case costs £89.99, while the Stylus Pen is £34.99.
But you can also order a bundle with the tablet and accessories for less than £375.
Eric Saarnio, vice president of Amazon Devices International, said: “The new Fire Max 11 is proof you can get everything you need from a tablet without paying premium prices.”
