People are only just realising Facebook has a secret setting to help you hide posts from prying pals
A SECRET setting to stop people snooping and your hide posts has been revealed.
This Facebook feature could save you from prying family, friends, enemies, and exes - here's how to use it.
If there is someone that you don't want viewing your post, go onto their profile page.
Click the grey, three dot menu button and select Edit Friends List from the drop down options.
Then, hit Restricted, and this friend won't be able to see your upload.
It is important to note that if your profile is public to anyone, they will still be able to see what you've posted.
Everyone you restrict will appear on a list under Restricted in your bookmarks.
And, if a particularly nosy friend, relative or ex might try and look at your page by logging into your account, here are some extra security tips.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication through settings, this means someone will need a password sent to your number via text to get in.
Facebook users can also receive alerts if someone tries to log in from a different phone, laptop or computer.
There is also a feature called Trusted Contacts in case you get locked out.
You can chose three to five people who can help you regain access if you lose your phone or forget your password.
And, here's a step-by-step guide on how to lock Facebook profile.
This comes as people are only just realising Facebook has a little-known Wi-Fi feature that could save you from data issues next time you're out.
Plus, there is now a setting which will prevent annoying video sounds from blasting out of your iPhone.
