MARK Zuckerberg took a massive public swipe at Elon Musk as his Twitter "killer" rival Threads was launched.
The Facebook founder tweeted for the first time in more than 11 years to mark the brand-new app's release.
Zuckerberg posted a wildly popular meme that left thousands of Twitter users in stitches.
Threads was rolled out on Wednesday to users in 100 different countries and it's features have a striking resemblance to those seen on Twitter.
This led Zuckerberg to post the famed Spider-Man pointing at Spider-Man meme which depicts how the two are identical.

His tweet has been viewed 12.3million times so far with Zuckerberg's last tweet posted on January 18, 2012.
And if this wasn't enough to make Musk rage, the new Meta app has had a whopping ten million users sign up just seven hours after it went live.
One of Zuckerberg's first posts on Threads lays out Meta's plans for taking Twitter's place as the new digital town square.

"It'll take some time, but I think there should be a public conversations app with 1 billion+ people on it. Twitter has had the opportunity to do this but hasn't nailed it. Hopefully we will," he wrote.
The app has been described as a "text based conversation app" which allows users to post up to 500 characters, which sounds a lot like Twitter.
The official description says: "Threads is where communities come together to discuss everything from the topics you care about today to what'll be trending tomorrow."
On Threads, posts can be shared to Instagram and vice versa, and can even include links, photos and videos of up to five minutes in length.
Similar to Twitter, users will see a feed of posts called Threads from people they follow as well as other recommended content.
They are also able to control who can "mention" them in content and filter out replies to posts that contain specific words.
Unfollowing, blocking, restricting or reporting other profiles is also possible on the app, and any accounts users block on Instagram are then simultaneously blocked on Threads.
Earlier, Zuckerberg said keeping the platform "friendly... will ultimately be the key to its success," with some Twitter users being left unhappy at recent changes on the platform.
But Musk responded: "It is infinitely preferable to be attacked by strangers on Twitter, than indulge in the false happiness of hide-the-pain Instagram."
This brutal social media swipe comes after Musk trolled on June 20 that he would be willing to - and Zuckerberg didn't back down.
In an Instagram story, the Facebook founder responded: "Send Me Location."
The Facebook founder was even contacted by an official from the government of Italy about staging a UFC fight against Musk at a historic site, according to .
Italy's Minister of Culture reportedly reached out to Zuckerberg about holding the bizarre fight in the Colosseum.
The UFC president then stunned fight fans by revealing he'd be willing to pit the two tech giants against one another in the octagon.
And he fired back at critics who mocked him for saying he doesn't do "gimmick fights," writing on Instagram: "This isn't a gimmick fight.
"Gimmick is MMA guys going to boxing and getting beat. We have seen it already and know how it ends.
"This is a fight between two of the most powerful/richest guys in the world.
";Who will win? Who has seen this before? NOBODY."
Rumours swirled that the fight was going to take place at UFC 300, but .
But just two weeks ago, disgraced influencer Andrew Tate who has been charged with human trafficking, rape, and forming a criminal gang, offered to train the Twitter boss ahead of the punch-ip.
The shameless influencer, who was banned from Facebook last August, wrote: "Meta banned me everywhere for telling the truth about vaccines.
Kickboxer Tate, 36, showed his support for Musk and offered to train him ahead of the fight.
"But now we can restore honour with a strike at the enemy clans leader. I will train you @elonmusk. You will not lose."

He believes that Musk can't seem to step away from confrontations, despite having previously admitting that he is no fit shape for a physical fight.
"All this talk about going to the Colosseum for a cage match with Mark Zuckerberg, it's more of a metaphor for his struggle with Meta and Zuckerberg — I don't know if that will really happen, no," Isaacson said on Wednesday.
