Sky TV customers are just realising there’s a hidden menu on their box to solve annoying ‘app refresh’ problem
SKY viewers are just realising that their TV box has a secret menu that helps fix a number of problems.
Maybe you're having trouble loading apps like Netflix?
Or perhaps you've changed some settings and just want to start afresh?
The Sky Q hidden menu should help you solve these issues fairly quickly.
But you'll need to know the special code to do it.
The three things this area can do includes resetting settings, a full factory reset of your box and an app refresh.

Obviously, be absolutely sure before resetting settings or factory reset, as some stuff will be wiped.
How do you refresh apps on Sky TV?
- Press the Home button on your remote
- Go down to Settings but don't press the Select button
- Instead, key in 001
- Now press Select
If you want to refresh the apps, select the Apps option.
Then click on Refresh All Apps.

A message will then appear saying: "Your apps are being refreshed."
It can take up to 24 hours for apps to completely refresh.
If you want to reset anything, go to the Reset option.
There you'll find Reset settings and Factory reset.
