Fans go wild for first look at popular game a decade in development – and it’s absolutely free
UBISOFT has just announced a beta test for one of its biggest upcoming games.
After a decade in development and numerous delays, people can’t wait to dive into the huge open world.
Following the huge success of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, Ubisoft said it would give players the experience of sailing the high seas, but add in multiplayer action.
This idea turned into Skull and Bones, with fans excited to dive into the new standalone project.
It has been in development since 2013, but was officially announced in 2017 for a 2018 release.
We are obviously way past that point now, and over the years it has received numerous delays, and is still in development.

There have been six public delays since it was first announced, but there have likely been more behind the scenes.
This has of course made gamers curious as to what exactly is going on with Skull and Bones, and soon you’ll be able to see for yourself.
This weekend, from Friday, August 25, 2023, until Monday, August 28, 2023, PC gamers will be able to dive into a closed beta for Skull and Bones, and get a look at what has happened to the game.
While the beta is technically open to anyone, you have to sign up and be invited if you want to try it out.

If you do, you’ll be rewarded with in-game cosmetics whenever it is eventually released.
To sign up for the Skull and Bones closed beta, you’ll need to sign up for the Ubisoft Insider Program.
You then have to sign in with your Ubisoft Connect account, or sign up for one if you don’t have one already.
Then register for the Skull and Bones beta, and keep an eye on your emails to collect your invitation link.
