The little-known iPhone setting that saved me from a refund nightmare – take note next time you shop with Apple Pay
APPLE Pay users have been warned to watch out when seeking a refund for goods they've purchased after a shopping spree.
The popular platform is used by millions across the globe to quickly buy stuff.
But be careful when trying to get a refund, as I recently found out first hand with a trip to Primark.
Not everyone is aware of how Apple Pay works - and it could mean you're refused a refund as a result.
Aside from your receipt, you obviously need the original payment method to receive a refund.
The cashier will check that the last four digits match what's on your receipt.

This will show the Apple Pay card number, not your credit card or debit card number.
"That's not the same card number, I can't issue you a refund," I was told.
It was only after that I found out about a little-known setting that can help you out.
The setting shows you the Apple Pay card number alongside the credit / debit card number to show the in-store employee and get your refund.

How to get a refund on Apple Pay
Go to the Wallet app on your iPhone.
Select the card you wish to use for a refund.
Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right.
Then choose Card Details.
Look for Card Number, which is your credit / debit card number.
And further down, Apple Pay, which is another 4-digit number.
Show this to the cashier and you should finally be able to get your refund.
