I’m a Sky expert and TV owners are still missing a little-known trick whenever their remote is playing up
A SKY TV expert has revealed a useful trick for anyone who has problems with their remote.
Most people assume the batteries have ran out when the controller starts playing up.
But if it continues there could be something else wrong.
One thing you could try is switching from Bluetooth to infrared.
All Sky remotes use Bluetooth by default but have the traditional infrared option is available too.
Bluetooth is better because it can connect to your Sky box a lot smoother - and doesn't have to be pointed at the box either.

However, infrared is a good back up option if Bluetooth suddenly stops working.
Infrared is also perfect for people who want to use two Sky remotes simultaneously - as Bluetooth only allows one remote per box.
According to TikToker and YouTuber Wades Ramsey, all you need to do is press and hold two buttons.
"The Sky remotes are Bluetooth but they're also infrared - so some people don't actually want to use it off Bluetooth, I don't know why because it works a lot better," he told The Sun.

"So if you wanted it on infrared, you can just hold down button 4 and 6 until the remote blinks twice and it'll change to an infrared remote and vice versa."
And if you want to switch back to making your remote Bluetooth enabled, simply press and hold the 4 and 6 buttons again.

Sky remote not pairing
If your Sky Q remote isn't pairing there is another way that might fix things.
Try pressing the 7 and 9 buttons at the same time until the LED flashes four times.
Then, point your remote at the Sky Q box, press 1 and 3 together until the LED flashes twice.
Follow the on-screen instructions to re-pair.
