SPOTIFY users are tempted to quit the app after details of a new Apple Music feature leaked.
Apple's rival service serves up more than 100 million songs – but switching to it from Spotify has always proved difficult.
That's because Spotify users have built up their own playlists over the years, and there's no built-in way to move them to Apple Music.
Now an in-testing Apple Music feature that lets you transfer playlists from Spotify has been revealed.
The feature was discovered in the beta-test version of Apple Music and to Reddit.
It appears to build-in the functions of an existing app called SongShift that is designed to move playlists between streaming services.
The feature appears to prompt users to "transfer music from other services", noting: "Add saved music and playlists you made in other music services to your Apple Music library."
Apple Music was launched on June 30, 2015, and has since become one of the biggest music streaming services in the world.
It now boasts a catalogue of more than 100 million songs, available ad-free as part of a $10.99/£10.99 monthly subscription.
But the service was late the party, with Spotify launching nearly a decade earlier in April 2006.
So convincing music fans to leave their Spotify playlists behind is a big ask – made much easier by this rumoured feature.
Several users posted "finally" in response to the news on Reddit.
Another said: "I might finally switch to it if this is happening."
One added: "Maybe this is how I finally switch to Apple Music then.
"I have Apple One for family, so was looking to switch. The only hold-up is all my playlists in Spotify."
Sadly it's unclear exactly when – or even if – this feature will make it to the live version of Apple Music.
The feature could change, be scrapped, or delayed heavily, as it still appears to be in a test-only phase.
In the meantime, it's still possible to download SongShift and move your playlists manually.
