PEOPLE were sceptical when developers announced that the Final Fantasy Remake would be split into three parts.
When players spent almost a hundred hours ploughing through the first part of the trilogy, they began to see why.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is considerably larger than Remake, and you’ll spend a lot more time just making your way through the main story.
This is because Rebirth introduces the game’s open world, with a lot more that you’re able to explore.
If you want to know exactly what you are signing up for, here is the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth chapter list, and how long it will take to complete it.
How long to beat FF7 Rebirth?
As with all RPGs, how long it will take you to beat FF7 Rebirth relies entirely on your playstyle.
More in Final Fantasy
If you only want to experience the main story with none of the optional combat then it should take you around 40 - 50 hours to complete.
However, there is a lot of side content, including World Intel that you can complete, and this will vastly extend your playtime.
Here are the times we estimate based on your play style.
- Main Story: 50+ hours
- World Intel completion: 70+ hours
- 100% completion: 150+ hours

This is a huge increase from the FF7 Remake which took around 30 hours for the main story, and 50 hours for completionist.
