Building a strong deck is key to winning in Slay the Spire

Slay the Spire is a card game with roguelike elements that has been universally praised as one of the best deckbuilders ever.

In each playthrough, you select a character and it determines your starting deck of cards, which you use to fight a series of enemies.

It’s a roguelike game, so your combat encounters are randomly generated on a map with branching paths, and for every round, you choose which way to go.

There is permadeath, meaning that if you die it’s game over, but you also get permanent character upgrades in the form of relics that carry over into your next attempt.

With an 89 rating on review aggregator Metacritic, and a 10/10 score on Steam, Slay the Spire has earned the acclaim of both critics and players.

Slay the Spire is available for just £4.99 / $6.24 on Steam right now, which is 75% off the game’s usual price of £19.49 / $24.99.

Previous deals on the game only discounted it by up to 66%, so the current price is the lowest Slay the Spire has ever sold for on Steam.

Players have a few days left to grab the game before 6pm UK Time / 1pm ET on April 15, 2024, when the discount expires.

The deal comes just after a sequel to Slay the Spire has been confirmed, which should be released in Early Access sometime in 2025.

If you are looking for more gaming deals, there’s another 10/10 game selling at its lowest-ever price right now.
