The next game, rumoured to be called Assassin's Creed Empire, was set for release in 2016 but has been pushed back to the end of this year.

It's been widely speculated that it will be set in Egypt, with the main character an ex-slave.

But one gamer posted a picture of an , also made by Ubisoft.

It shows a Samurai with the iconic "A" symbol.

Its sparked thousands to speculate whether Ubisoft will indulge Assassin's fans across the world.

But the company's creative director has previously said a mission set entirely in Japan would be "too familiar" and one of the "worst settings".

Assassin's Creed revolves around the rivalry between two ancient secret societies: the Assassins and the Knights Templar and their relation to a pre-human species, dubbed "those who came before".

Each game takes a different civilisation, and has featured during different periods of history in Italy, Russia, India, North America.

Ubisoft aren't strangers to putting in easter eggs throughout their games, and this Samurai hint could just be nothing more than a throw back to its roots.

When quizzed the company told Sun Online that it did not comment on rumour or speculation.
