From Final Fantasy to Zenless Zone Zero – all the biggest games for July 2024
Some excellent free-to-play games are the most popular launches of the month
AS we enter into the second half of 2024, it seems that the gaming releases have no intentions of slowing down.
While most people are still working their way through their backlogs, there are more games coming that we just have to play.
Luckily, it is a bit of a slower month, but there are still some beefy games that are sure to take up out time.
Here’s all the biggest releases coming out in July 2024.
Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail
Those who pre-ordered have been able to play a little of Final Fantasy 14’s latest expansion already, but the full release is out shortly.
This is the fifth expansion for the popular MMO, and adds new character classes, a new race, and new areas.
It’s also the first graphical overhaul of the game since it was first released in 2013.
Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail will see a full release on July 2 for PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The First Descendant
This is a brand-new IP from the popular free-to-play, third-person, cooperative shooter genre.
It’s a looter shooter where you can play in single-player or in co-op in a team of up to four.
It has RPG elements, and teams will work together to take down big bosses.
The First Descendant will launch on July 2 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
Zenless Zone Zero
While not technically a trilogy, HoYoVerse is following up from the popularity of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
ZZZ takes place in a post-apocalyptic world rather than the fantasy or sci-fi worlds of Genshin and Honkai, but the gameplay you love is still there.
Featuring RPG gameplay and free-to-play gacha mechanics, it’s more of what fans love.
Zenless Zone Zero will be released on July 4 for PS5, iOS, Android, and PC.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
A new entry in the soulslike genre, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn mixes katana and guns for its weapons.
Taking place in a fantasy setting, the story begins when Gods come down from the heavens and siege the city.
Supposedly a lighter take on the genre, Flintlock will still feature plenty of challenging battles.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn launches on July 18 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Developed by Capcom known for popular series like Resident Evil, and Monster Hunter, this is a fresh-style of game.
Described as an action strategy game, you’ll be taking part in fast-paced battles while protecting your village.
It is deeply rooted in Japanese myth and folklore making for a gorgeous setting.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess releases on July 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
