The iPhone 8 will be a lot like arch-rival Samsung’s S8 smartphone, rumours suggest
TECH lovers are rarely fans of both Apple and Samsung.
So Apple enthusiasts should probably take a seat before they read the latest piece of gossip reverberating through the Apple rumour mill.
Industry experts have claimed the iPhone 8 and the Samsung S8 will share one major thing in common: a cool "infinity screen".
The latest Samsung mobile features a OLED screen which wraps around the entire front of the gadget.
Tech experts believe Apple is planning to roll out similar tech, raising the prospect that the iPhone 8 and Samsung S8 might be more similar than they have ever been before.
Apple prides itself on the excellence of its engineering, with its phone routinely named the best in the world.
But JPMorgan analyst Rod Hall fears Apple fans could be left disappointed if they buy the iPhone 8 after trying out the S8.
"While Apple's new OLED form factor looks similar, current indications are for less use of curved OLED which may result in a slightly less 'infinity' screen form factor," he said .
Of course, Apple is not likely to sit back and let it's arch-rival claim the limelight with its flash new screen.
We won't know for sure what the iPhone 8 will look like when it's released, but that hasn't stopped a lot of rumours and gossip from doing the rounds.
