Thousands of fans grab Indiana Jones for free but it suddenly disappears from their libraries

Indiana Jones disappeared almost as quickly as he arrived

INDIANA Jones and the Great Circle is one of the biggest releases of the year, and people have been diving into the adventure.

Soon after launch, PC gamers noticed that there was a way to grab the game for free, and it wasn’t via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, or PC Game Pass.

Those who linked their Steam account to Humble Bundle were given a free copy of Indiana Jones for Steam.

People were unsure why the game was being given away for free, particularly as it’s expensive and had only just launched.

However, they were thrilled to grab the popular game for free and many assumed that it was part of some promotion.

Not long afterwards the codes were being revoked, and those who redeemed the game on Steam had it removed from their libraries.

Players received a message from Steam that reads: “Your recent product code activation has been revoked due to a problem processing payment for this item.

“The games associated with this product code can no longer be played as a result.”

Humble Bundle then released a statement about the code revocation, explaining why it was free and why the game was revoked.

It read: “We’re reaching out to inform you that we have revoked the keys for your recent redemption of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

“Due to a mistake in the provided pricing for this game, the game was incorrectly marked as ‘free’.

“We understand this may cause some confusion and inconvenience – please accept our sincere apologies.”

People were understanding about the removal of the game from their libraries and assumed that some error had been made.

Players had access for a short amount of time, but it appears that the game was revoked shortly after it was given away.
