Pokémon TCG Pocket finally reveals secret promo 008 card with new battle event

POKÉMON TCG Pocket has been around for three months, and fans have only just uncovered the game’s biggest mystery.

The mobile gaming sensation has held plenty of events where players can pick up in-game currencies and other goodies.

One of the most popular parts of the rewards are the unique promo cards that can’t be found in traditional booster packs.

These promo cards are only available for a limited time and can be used as part of players’ battle decks.

Some strong cards have appeared in the past as part of these promos, like the powerful Lapras EX or the Mankey that is part of the best Fighting-type deck.

However, there has always been a mystery surrounding these promo cards that TCG Pocket was refusing to answer.

Promo 008 was consistently a missing spot in players’ collections, despite the fact that the most recent promo card released is promo 033, a wonder pick Squirtle.

Players were concerned they’d missed out on promo 008, but in reality, The Pokémon Company had just never released it.

However, it is now available as TCG Pocket is giving away promo 008 to celebrate 40billion cards collected by all players.

Promo 008 is a copy of the Pokédex card that allows players to look at the top three cards of their deck.

Alongside a picture of the Pokédex you can see Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur around it.

If you want to pick up the new promo card for yourself, all you have to do is log in before April 30, 2025.

The new promo card has been released alongside a new battle event that players can participate in.

For this event you’ll need to battle players online, and you must win five matches in a row in order to win the top emblem.

However, even if you don’t win matches, you’ll earn shop tickets and hourglasses for just taking part.

All cards, including Genetic Apex, Mythical Island and promo cards, are allowed so you can mix and match your favourite cards.
