Normally Amazon Prime costs £95 annually – or £8.99 a month, equivalent to £107.88 over 12 months.

It gets you loads of perks, including unlimited one-day delivery, access to Prime Video for streaming, Amazon Music, and special access to deals.

And there's a way to bag a Prime membership for just £47.49, which is half price.

Alternatively you could pay £4.49 each month, coming in at £53.88 over the year.

Either way, it's a major savings, and there's a good chance that you or someone you know is eligible to claim.

HALF-PRICE PRIME – WHO CAN GET IT?

There are two ways to bag the deal.

The clue is in the name: the membership is called Prime for Students and 18-22 Year-Olds.

It was originally just for students, but it was extended to cover all 18 to 22-year-olds last summer.

For students, you'll need to have an Amazon UK account and be enrolled in a higher education institution.

Importantly, that institution needs to be geographically located in either the UK or Ireland.

Costliest iPhone mistake you can make is scarily common – I'm shocked more people don't know as it saves you hundreds

You'll also need an email address associated with that institution. Don't worry if yours doesn't offer one: you can email Amazon with proof that you're studying there instead.

If you're not a student and you want the 18-22 membership, you'll just need an Amazon UK account and documented proof of age – like a passport or driving licence.
