Millions eligible to claim CHEAP Amazon Prime subscription for £4.49 – it even comes with rare six-month free trial
MAKE sure that you're not accidentally overpaying for Amazon Prime to the tune of £54 a year.
There's a special cheaper membership that millions of Brits are eligible to claim, dramatically reducing the monthly and yearly cost.
Normally Amazon Prime costs £95 annually – or £8.99 a month, equivalent to £107.88 over 12 months.
It gets you loads of perks, including unlimited one-day delivery, access to Prime Video for streaming, Amazon Music, and special access to deals.
And there's a way to bag a Prime membership for just £47.49, which is half price.
Alternatively you could pay £4.49 each month, coming in at £53.88 over the year.

Either way, it's a major savings, and there's a good chance that you or someone you know is eligible to claim.
HALF-PRICE PRIME – WHO CAN GET IT?
There are two ways to bag the deal.
The clue is in the name: the membership is called Prime for Students and 18-22 Year-Olds.
It was originally just for students, but it was extended to cover all 18 to 22-year-olds last summer.
For students, you'll need to have an Amazon UK account and be enrolled in a higher education institution.
Importantly, that institution needs to be geographically located in either the UK or Ireland.
You'll also need an email address associated with that institution. Don't worry if yours doesn't offer one: you can email Amazon with proof that you're studying there instead.
If you're not a student and you want the 18-22 membership, you'll just need an Amazon UK account and documented proof of age – like a passport or driving licence.
CHEAP PRIME DIFFERENCES REVEALED
A Half-Price Prime membership isn't exactly the same as regular Prime.
For a start, you get a much bigger trial period.
Normally a Prime trial only lasts for 30 days, but the discounted membership comes with an enormous six-month free trial.
Compared to the full regular Amazon Prime price, that's saving you £53.94.
But there are some catches.
HOW MUCH DOES AMAZON PRIME COST?
Here's what you need to know about Amazon Prime pricing in the UK...
A standard Amazon Prime membership costs £8.99 a month – that's £107.88 over the course of a year.
If you pay annually, you'll be billed £95 instead.
For TV fans who just want Amazon Prime Video without a full Prime membership, it'll cost you £5.99 a month, working out at £71.88 for the year.
Students can get discounted Amazon Prime, with the monthly cost reduced to £4.49 (or £53.88 over the course of a year).
And for students who pay annually, the one-off yearly fee is £47.49.

You can't invite other people in your home to share your Prime membership.
There's no access to the Kindle Owners' Lending Library.
And you'll only get a single one-month Twitch channel subscription. Regular Prime gives you a fresh one every month.
Other than those differences, it's mostly the same benefits.
