If you're already paying for Amazon Prime, you can take advantage of some handy hunger-busting benefits.

Otherwise, you might be missing out on some of the best perks that you're forking £8.99 a month for.

By claiming them, you might be able to get better value for money on your membership – beyond free Amazon deliveries and a bit of Prime Video telly.

FOOD PERK #1 – 'BUY MORE & SAVE'

One handy perk for Prime members is the Buy More & Save program.

This slashes the cost of your bill by 15% if you buy four qualifying items.

Amazon has a shopping page that shows all of the products that count towards the four-item discount.

And that includes food and drink like tinned veg, pasta and instant coffee – as well as other handy buys like loo roll and nappies.

Your cart will be tracked at the top, showing how close you are to the 15%-off discount.

Amazon says that it offers over 1,000 qualifying items in the UK, so there's a good chance you'll find what you're looking for.

FOOD PERK #2 – DELIVEROO SAVINGS

Another handy perk is the free Deliver Plus Silver membership that comes bundled with Prime.

You can claim an entire year of free membership just by having an active Amazon Prime subscription.

It'll grant you free delivery on eligible food orders over £15.

And if you're ordering from a store, there's an "extensive list" that offers free delivery over £25 with this membership.

Normally Deliveroo Plus Silver costs £3.49 per month (about £42 a year) so it's a big saving.

Sign up or log into Deliveroo and link your Amazon Prime account in the app.

Then your Deliveroo account should automatically upgrade to Plus Silver membership. Try using this  to claim the deal.

FOOD PERK #3 – HELLOFRESH DISCOUNT

The third foodie perk for Amazon Prime subscribers is a shipping discount for HelloFresh.

If you've never heard of HelloFresh, it's a meal kit service that ships you boxes filled with ingredients and recipe cards.

The idea is that you still get to cook the meal, but the hard work of planning it and finding the ingredients is already done for you.

Amazon Prime members can get free shipping on any HelloFresh recipe box orders for an entire yet.

If you were paying for that yourself, you'd be charged £4.99 per box.

So you'll save about £60 if you ordered a box each month for a year.

HOW MUCH DOES AMAZON PRIME COST?

Here's what you need to know about Amazon Prime pricing in the UK...

A standard Amazon Prime membership costs £8.99 a month – that's £107.88 over the course of a year.

If you pay annually, you'll be billed £95 instead.

For TV fans who just want Amazon Prime Video without a full Prime membership, it'll cost you £5.99 a month, working out at £71.88 for the year.

Students can get discounted Amazon Prime, with the monthly cost reduced to £4.49 (or £53.88 over the course of a year).

And for students who pay annually, the one-off yearly fee is £47.49.
