Amazon unveils Echo Look device in the hope we’ll let the firm put CAMERAS inside our homes
Tech giant hopes to persuade vain people to use its web connected cameras to take selfies and give fashion advice
AMAZON is hoping to persuade people to fit its cameras inside their home.
The retail giant's microphones are already in houses around the world due to the huge success of its voice-activated Echo device.
But now Amazon wants to go one step further and start recording customers using a depth-sensing video camera.
Its new Echo Look device is designed to appeal to vain people.
The gadget allows fashionistas to take pictures of themselves using voice commands.
An algorithm called Style Check will then rate their outfit.
Amazon wrote: "Style Check keeps your look on point using advanced machine learning algorithms and advice from fashion specialists.
"Submit two photos for a second opinion on which outfit looks best on you based on fit, color, styling, and current trends.
"Over time, these decisions get smarter through your feedback and input from our team of experienced fashion specialists."

The product is only available by invitation at this stage, so you can't buy one quite yet.
Which will be good news to anyone who is uncomfortable with the idea that a firm like Amazon wants us to let it take pictures of ourselves every day from inside our homes.
It's not clear whether the images will be stored in Amazon's servers or how people will know when the camera is watching - or when it's switched off.
