Major Sky channel closes FOREVER in two days as list reveals dozens of surprise changes to your TV guide in April

SKY customers are days away from the permanent closure of a major TV channel.
It's part of a massive TV guide shake-up that's being rolled out throughout April.
On Thursday, April 10, Sky is going to kill off satellite channel 223 (or 224 in Scotland).
That's Sky History+1, which a Sky employee confirmed "closes permanently" later this week.
Sky History will remain on the service, but its plus-one sister channel will shut down forever.
It comes just days after Sky made a number of channel swaps and closures.
That included the April 2 closure of Sky History 2 HD (although it was retained on SD for satellite, and in HD on Sky Glass and Sky Stream).
The TV giant regularly mixes up its TV guide for a number of reasons.
Sometimes channels are launched temporarily, and then later replaced.
Channels will often be rebranded (like this month's swap from Sky Gangsters back to its original Sky Thriller HD).
And other times, TV channels will shut down due to lack of interest or because a certain deal has come to an end.
Dozens of swaps have already been made this month, and we have the full list below.
Here's the full list of Sky channel swaps in April so far...

Got Sky Q? There are some handy tricks worth knowing about...
Find your lost TV remote
If you can't find your Sky Q remote, don't panic.
Just press the Sky Q logo on the front of your TV box.
It's actually a button that will trigger your TV remote's built-in ringer.
You'll get 30 seconds of beeping to find where you've dropped it. Hint: it's probably under the sofa cushion.
Search movies by quotes
You might have already used voice search for controlling TV playback – but your remote's microphone has another clever trick.
It turns out that you can say movie quotes into the remote and Sky will find the film for you.
This is handy if you can't remember the name of a top movie or show.
Here's a list of movie quotes to try on Sky.
Save lost recordings
Have you ever deleted something you'd recorded on Sky, only to regret it later?
Or maybe someone in your family removed something without telling you – sparking a massive row.
Don't panic: you can get them back.
Just go to Recordings > Manage > Deleted and then simply hit Undelete on the item that you want to resurrect.
If you do that, it'll return to your Recordings section as good as new.

It's worth noting that there will likely be more swaps to come.
Sky typically only updates its channel swap lists for the week ahead.
