THE iPhone 8 is expected to be a blockbuster release to mark the 10th anniversary of Apple's smartphone.

Now it's been claimed that the tech colossus is planning to throw in a nice little treat for fans who buy the new gadget.

Analysts from JP Morgan have reportedly said the iPhone 8 will come with a free pair of Airpods, Apple's cool wireless headphones.

 , experts suggested the Airpods would come as a free bonus.

However, the claim is unverified and has been described as "unlikely" because of the £159 cost of the wireless earphones and the huge demand which means iFans have to wait up to six weeks to

Apple Insider wrote: "JPMorgan suggests the possibility of Apple including AirPods in the same box as the iPhone 8.

"Given the high cost base of AirPods relative to EarPods, this seems unlikely.

"An issue is supply: AirPods continue to face six-week shipping estimates on Apple.com and Apple would not want to bottleneck iPhone 8 supply because of the earphones accessory."

The iPhone 8 is rumoured to feature a glossy OLED display and should go on sale later in the year, with experts indicating it will be announced in September and released in October.
