AFTER a year-and-a-half of keeping fans waiting, Nintendo has finally announced when one of its most beloved games will be released on smartphones.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be available on iOS and Android in late November, it has announced.

Like previous Animal Crossing titles, characters will be tasked with moving to a brand new setting, interacting with new animal pals and making their new home cosy.

You'll take the role of camp manager, sprucing the place up.

Players will be able to craft furniture from materials and customise their camper van while meeting up with other players to trade items.

It might be Nintendo's biggest mobile hit yet thanks to its free-to-play business model.

Nintendo this year launched Super Mario Run, which was supposed to be a huge money spinner.

But its pricing put many off.

The base game will be free to download, but you need to pay £7.99 to unlock the full game.

It seems steep considering most mobile games are free but as it is paid for, you won't receive those annoying pleas for money via in-app purchases.
