CATCH 'EM ALL

Pokemon Sun and Moon Mystery Gift – all the Legendary Pokemon downloads for 2018 revealed

If you're hoping to bag some super-rare Pokemon this year, then you'll be pleased to hear that the full roster of free Legendaries for Nintendo's latest Pokemon games has been released

POKEMON players have a whole host of downloadable freebies to look forward to this year – and we’ve got the full list of what to expect.

The Pokemon Company has revealed all the new goodies coming to Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon via the games’ Mystery Gift feature.

Pokemon Sun and Moon players are about to get free access to a whole host of rare legendary Pokemon

Nintendo 3DS owners will be able to snap up two “legendary” Pokemon per month (but just one in June) from February through to November.

That means there’s a total of 19 rare Pokemon up for grabs – including fan favourites like Entei, Ho-Oh, and Zygarde.

For clarity, a legendary Pokemon is a monster that’s really tough to catch, but are typically freely available to find in-game.

You’ll often find legendary Pokemon on the covers of the video games, because they’re usually amongst the most powerful creatures available to catch.

The Nintendo 3DS games first launched back in 2016, and received “Ultra” sequels just last year

Here’s what you can get each month:

  • February – Dialga and Palkia
  • March – Regigas and Heatran
  • April – Entei and Raikou

Pokemon fans may be disappointed that some ultra-rare Pokemon like Arceus or Jirachi aren’t included.

Sadly, that’s because they’re both “mythical” Pokemon, a cut above even the rarest legendary creatures.

Still, 2018’s offering is decent enough, so make sure to check into the Mystery Gift feature each month to collect your free Pokemon.
