Google Lens allows your phone camera to identify dog breeds, scan business cards, and translate foreign languages – here's what you need to know

STARTING today, the super-smart Google Lens camera feature will be available on all Android smartphones.

It means you'll be able to use your phone camera to translate foreign-language signs or menus, identify dog breeds, and learn about famous buildings or monuments.

The update is still rolling out, so you might not be able to download it immediately.

Once you've downloaded the app, you'll need to take a photo – just use your normal camera app.

Then, go into the Google Photos app and find the image.

Tap on the Google Lens icon, which looks like a small square camera.

Depending on the photo, you'll be able to check up on details about the photo, or take an option.

For instance, if you've snapped a business card, you'll be able to upload the person's details directly into your contacts.

Sadly, the feature isn't available on iPhone just yet.
