IF you're always glued to your iPhone, you may have wondered whether you can take it in the shower.
Nobody should have to miss out on awesome Snapchat snaps, Instagram stories, and fire tweets while they're busy getting clean – right?
Plus, showers are so boring, and not all of us can afford to fit screens in the bathroom like filthy rich celebs.

- IP67 and IP68 are the two most common protection ratings for consumer devices
- Both indicate a phone is dust and waterproof
- The first digit shows the phone's resistant to dust, and the second water
- In the case of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, the dust-rating is 6 for “No ingress of dust; complete protection against contact (dust tight)”
- The water rating of the two Apple devices is 7 for ptotection for up to 30 minutes in 1 meter of water
- Comparably, the Samsung Galaxy S8 has a water rating of 8, meaning it can be under water for 30 mins at depths of up to 1.5 meters
- IP stands for the "International Protection" rating and is set by the International Electrotechnical Commission.
You'll (deservedly) be the butt of all your mates' jokes. But, who cares when you get to watch Netflix in the shower?
Although, we should add that we haven't tested it out, so we can't say for sure if it works – use at your own risk.
Judging by the racy promo pics, you'll be able to slot multiple devices in its lining.
And if you're left with a spare one, you could use it to hold your shower beer – the possibilities are endless.
And, even though the curtain is "extra thick," you'll still be able to use your phone's touchscreen to play games.
Just make sure that all that extra phone time doesn't end up making you late for work.
Can you use your iPhone in the shower without case protection?
Although Apple began releasing waterproof iPhones last year, you may not want to risk taking one in the shower completely unprotected.
Especially, if you own a pricey flagship, like the £999 iPhone X.
That device – along with the iPhone 7, 7 Plus, 8, and 8 Plus – is IP67-rated, meaning it can survive in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.
Now, you may be thinking 'I don't take showers for that long, so my iPhone should be fine.'
Not necessarily. In fact, Apple advises against it.
"To prevent liquid damage...avoid...exposing your iPhone to pressurized water or high velocity water, such as when showering," states the company on its .

And, you also have to take into account other factors, like heat, steam and soap – all of which could damage the gadget.
None of Apple's iPads, on the other hand, are waterproof.
