Death Stranding PS4 release date – live stream, new trailer info, PS5 rumours and more revealed
Will veteran game developer Hideo Kojima's upcoming action game be the next Metal Gear? We've got all the details, including the release date and trailers
DEATH STRANDING is the debut game from Kojima Productions, the studio founded by visionary Metal Geal Solid creator Hideo Kojima – but when is it released?
Now-deleted social media postings from PlayStation in Taiwan seem to have revealed the exact date, and final confirmation is expected very soon.
What is Death Stranding?
Now that's a doozy.
Death Stranding has been described as an action game with online multiplayer elements.
The story centres around Sam Bridges (played by Walking Dead favourite Norman Reedus) "carrying the remnants of our future" in a "world transformed by the Death Stranding".
The latest trailer hints at the sort of political commentary Kojima is known for, seeing Bridges being begged to "make America whole again" by an apparently terminally-ill female US President lying on a hospital bed in the Oval Office.
It's coming in four editions - Standard, Special, Digital Deluxe and Collector's.
Pre-ordering gets you a bunch of gold in-game accessories whichever version you get.
The Digital Deluxe includes a soundtrack and a second pair of gold sunglasses.
The Special has all that, but also comes with a physical copy of the game in a steelbook case.
Finally, the Collector's Edition comes with music, a key-ring, a replica of Bridges' BB Pod (complete with the baby or fetus inside), and a chunk-looking carry case.

You can see the TGS trailer at the top of this article, or the E3 2018 one here.
They're both very long and completely bonkers - and they might even give you something of an idea of what the game is about.
