Apple reveals the BEST iPhone apps, Apple Music songs and podcasts for 2018

APPLE has revealed the most popular apps, games, songs and albums from across its online stores throughout 2018.

And it's no surprise that the lists feature favourites like Drake, Fortnite and WhatsApp – but you can guess all of the winners?

Each year, Apple reels off its most downloaded and best-selling digital goodies.

Some are based on pure stats: global sensation Fornite was the most downloaded free game for both iPhone and iPad, for instance.

And others are handed out by Apple's editors – Drake was awarded Artist of the Year, while Kasey Musgraves scored Album of the Year for Golden Hour.

And the Apple Music Song of the Year went to Cardi B's I Like It.

Drake topped the most popular songs list, but here's who else made the cut:

Apple revealed that TED Talks Daily was the UK's most downloaded podcast.

And it may come as no surprise to learn that Love Island: The Morning After was the most downloaded new podcast in 2018.
