OhMiBod ‘smart’ vibrator buzzes to your HEARTBEAT – and is controlled by an Apple Watch or Alexa

Bonking just got a hi-tech upgrade over at Nevada's CES 2019 tech show

RANDY gadget fans can now buy a vibrator that buzzes in time with your heartbeat – and can be adjusted using an Apple Watch.

It’s the latest invention from smart sex tech company OhMiBod, and was revealed at the CES 2019 tech show in Las Vegas this week.

It’s all thanks to a new Apple Watch app called OhMidBod Remote.

The app lets you choose various modes for the OhMiBod vibrators – allowing you to change vibration speed, pattern and intensity.

It’s also possible to control the vibrators using the “old-fashioned” method: a smartphone app.

The entire system works using Bluetooth, and you can even hook the system up with friends – so your partner can control your vibrator from anywhere in the world.

The Apple Watch compatibility offers a new opportunity however: heart-rate control.

“Smart watches like the new Apple Watch series have evolved into legitimate wellness devices with fantastic biofeedback performance,” said Suki Dunham, OhMiBod’s founder.

“It is the perfect time for OhMiBod to launch its first true biofeedback-driven functionality.”

Users can access a mode called Pulse, which utilities the heart-rate sensor system on Apple Watch smartwatches.

It means that the vibrator will pulse in time with your heartbeat.

You can also set it so that it pulses in sync with your partner’s heartbeat instead – as long as they’re wearing an Apple Watch.

This was demonstrated to The Sun and – spookily – it worked, with the vibrator buzzing in time with the OhMiBod’s Apple Watch heart-rate data.

There’s also a mode called Club Vibe, which is particularly impressive.

It uses ambient sounds – music, ideally – to drive the vibrations so that they keep in time with the beat.

We saw this demonstrated using audio from an Amazon Echo speaker, and it worked perfectly.

OhMiBod also announced that vibrator owners will soon be able to control their gadgets using Alexa, Amazon’s voice-controlled digital assistant.

What is Alexa?

If you've never heard of Alexa, here's what you need to know...

  • Alexa is an "intelligent" personal assistant built by Amazon.
  • You can find her on several different devices, including Amazon's Echo speakers.
  • Alexa responds to voice commands, and can talk back to you.
  • She can perform thousands of different tasks, including telling you about the news or weather.
  • But she can do more complex things too, like ordering a pizza or arranging an Uber taxi pick-up.
  • To activate Alexa, you need to say "Alexa" to an Amazon Echo speaker.
  • Alexa currently only works in English and German languages.
  • Because she's powered by artificial intelligence, Alexa is constantly getting smarter.
  • Alexa will also get more used to your voice, and better understand what you want her to do over time.

It means you’ll be able to control the gadgets hands-free, by shouting at your Amazon Echo during a steamy bonking session.

“Users will be able to set intensity levels, change patterns, and set the mood through music,” Suki explained.

“But most importantly, Alexa’s hands-free functionality helps ensure that all participants can focus on intimacy and enjoyment – without distraction.”

You can download the OhMiBod Remote App for Apple Watch right now, but you’ll need to own one of the company’s smart vibrators (and an Apple Watch) to use it.
